The WhatsApp Quality Rating is a green/yellow/red score Meta assigns to each business number based on recent message feedback — block rate, report-as-spam rate and delivery failures. A red rating temporarily blocks new template messaging until quality recovers.
Improve quality by: only messaging users who opted in, segmenting audiences, avoiding repetitive marketing blasts, using clear opt-out instructions and respecting user replies (STOP / unsubscribe).
Quality is calculated on a rolling 24-hour basis. Green is the healthy state; yellow warns of degradation; red pauses outbound messaging for 24 hours.
