The short answer
You cannot reliably send 1000 WhatsApp messages from a personal account or "bulk sender" Chrome extension — Meta detects the pattern within hours and bans the number. The only safe path is the official WhatsApp Business Cloud API, with approved message templates and recorded opt-in.
The 5-step safe broadcast workflow
- Get on the official WhatsApp Business API. Sign up via an authorised provider (like Broadcasto) and complete Meta Business Verification.
- Capture opt-in for every contact. A checkbox on your website, checkout, or lead form that explicitly mentions WhatsApp.
- Submit a message template. Choose Utility (transactional) or Marketing — wrong category is the #1 rejection reason.
- Segment and broadcast. Send to validated, opted-in contacts in batches of 250–1000 with a 1-2 second gap.
- Monitor quality rating. Meta downgrades senders whose opt-out rate spikes. Stay under 0.5% to keep tier limits high.
What gets you banned
- Unsolicited messages to scraped numbers
- Identical content blasted from a personal account
- Browser-based "bulk WhatsApp" tools that automate the desktop client
- Repeated complaints / blocks from recipients
What is safe
- Official WhatsApp Business Cloud API
- Pre-approved message templates
- Opt-in contacts you can prove gave consent
- Sending in your business name with a verified profile
